The Partnership: MZ Wallace and Duro Olowu

Since 2011, MZ Wallace has been committed to encouraging empowerment through education and equal opportunity. Raising money and awareness around these issues is at the heart of our brand.

Our collaboration with designer and curator Duro Olowu — in conjunction with the opening of his exhibition "Duro Olowu: Seeing Chicago" at the MCA — marks the second time we've released an exclusive collaboration in support of the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago and their educational efforts.

Inspired by his unique designs and evocative patterns, this limited edition Metro Tote features a custom print by Olowu in his signature style.

The Exhibit

The Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago is one of the nation's largest multidisciplinary museums devoted to the art of our time. With an international reputation for groundbreaking exhibitions, the MCA presents the latest in cutting-edge, contemporary culture.

Drawing from Chicago's public and private art collections including works in the MCA's collection, Duro Olowu curates a show that reimagines relationships between artists and objects across time, media, and geography. Moving away from traditional exhibition formats, Olowu combines photographs, paintings, sculptures, and films in dense and textural scenes that incorporate his own work.
