Loved the color and the size of the bag when I ordered it. When I received it the bag was much bigger than the approximately 12" by 12" described. It was too big for what I wanted. The bag is still beautiful though

I purchased the Begonia Bedford and love the color. I'm usually a neutral girl (tans, black) so this color really steps outside of my comfort zone but it is beautiful as a Fall-Winter bag. I'm 5'6'' and find this bag to be the perfect size for carrying on your shoulder or using as a crossbody. I'm using it for work and can fit everything in it, including my lunch, without it getting too bulky. As much as I love MZ Wallace bags (I also own the Jane, Kate and Paige), I have to share three things about this bag that kept me from giving it a 5 star review. First, the leather handles are much thinner and not as stiff as the handles on the Kate or Jane. This detail surprised me although it hasn't been too bothersome. Second, as other reviewers have noted, the exterior pockets are snaps, not magnetic, and can be somewhat difficult to close particularly when you are on the run trying to throw your keys or other small items into the pockets. It's hard to believe the designers didn't think about using magnetic closures. Third, the top zip of the bag is a flap of fabric that stands up as you zip. It's hard to visualize, as none of the photos online feature this part of the bag. As a result of the design, you can push the fabric with the zipper open down into the bag which can be a little concerning if you are in a crowd and want to keep your bag zipped. I do find it disappointing that the site doesn't show that part of the bag's construction and you are left to discover this after you purchase online. Despite those three design issues, I still love this bag and can see past the design flaws as none of them have been deal breakers for me. You can't beat the organization and quality of these bags and I continue to love each one of my handbags year after year.

I really love this bag, its big enough to fit a lot of stuff but still looks good with not much in it. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the outside pockets don't zip, so if I am in a crowd I feel like I have to keep phone and keys inside. And I don't care for the way the inside closing flaps over the zipper pouch if its closed and that unless its zipped, the bag stays totally open - there should be a magnetic snap for closing it if the zipper is open. But, I love the fabric, the color and the look.

LOVE this bag. Perfect for everyday with plenty of room for essentials. The outer snap pockets provide easy access to keys and cell phone and are perfect to hold a bottle of water. The color is a dark rich purple that appears almost black in artifutial light. MZ Wallace did it again! This is a must have bag in a great fall color!

Love this tote and the many pockets, both on inside and out. The fabric is gorgeous, and the outside pockets make it easy to organize things I need during my commute on public transit, including phone, kindle, and T-pass. Wish the cross body strap was a little bit wider or padded to offset the weight of the bag when it's fully loaded with files, computer, and my lunch. I have the slate blue color exclusive to Nordstrom, and get compliments on it all the time.

I love this bag. The outer pockets are great when it comes to accessing things for my kids. Also, a great place for phone and keys. The shoulder straps are a perfect length for staying on my shoulder when dealing with the kids. The bag is a great everyday bag that I can take to work as well as use for my two toddlers on the weekends. I recommend this bag to those who are working mom's with small kids looking for a one stop shop bag.

This bag is amazing! I was so psyched when MZ took its food market tote and made the Mayfair. It's the perfect balance of form and function. It's like Mary Poppins' bag: it holds so much more than anticipated and is still manageable and keeps its attractive shape. Great shoulder strap length plus the cross body option. This ties as my favorite shape along with the Belle. And I get tons of compliments--that never hurts!

I recently purchased the Mayfair bag and the minute I saw it I loved it. The color is neutral and the size is perfect for every day and travel. I already own a Jane and Paige. I have a bad back and like a bag that's light but durable. My next purchase will be a black tote as I love MZ Wallace bags. Please think about a light color beige for next spring/ summer

Love love love. Great size and amazingly functional pockets! I can find everything I need without rummaging through the whole bag.

I have a fairly large mzw collection and this one was not a win for me. I wanted to love it, but the flap/zip opening was really difficult to zip/unzip. The snaps are also not easy to open/close. I was really hoping this would be a Jane/Kate hybrid since it's smaller than Kate, but has the outside pockets for drinks. Unfortunately this one was returned and I'm sticking with my classic shapes.

Loving the Mayfair Tote in Clay. Perfect size with amazing organization. Snap pockets are convenient, and the front zip pocket is huge. Lightweight and comfortable to carry. Clay is a sophisticated color that is a little greener than it appears in the online pics. It's a terrific neutral and alternative to gray or brown. The only aspect I don't love is the large top zipper flap. It gets in the way of the inner pockets. Not a deal breaker though.

I own several MZW bags, including the Paige, Kate, Jane, Coco, and Andie. This might be my favorite! I am obsessed with the color - it seems to change depending on the lighting and what I'm wearing it with. I love that it has silver hardware too, and there is a place for everything in this tote. I liked the Food52 market tote that MZW came out with last year, but it was a little big for me. I am SO thrilled they came out with this one, which is like a smaller version. Smart, MZW! I love it and would love to see it in black! Rachel
